Jessica Chastain is set to start out the new year on a scary note, participating in her first horror film. While most January films in the genre usually prove to be more on the worthless side I was impressed by some of the terrifying imagery in the first trailer for Mama and now a new international trailer has arrived packing even more. Executive produced by Guillermo del Toro, from director Andy Muschietti I’m hoping this one actually add a decent story around its solid visuals. Check it out below for the film also starring Game of Thrones‘ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Megan Charpentier and Isabelle Nellsse.
Guillermo del Toro presents Mama, a supernatural thriller that tells the haunting tale of two little girls who disappeared into the woods the day that their parents were killed. When they are rescued years later and begin a new life, they find that someone or something still wants to come tuck them in at night.
Mama arrives on January 18th, 2013.
