After taking part in very different tales of New York — Emory Cohen, in the upstate, downtrodden Schenectady in The Place Beyond the Pines and Callan McAuliffe in the NYC-set glitzy The Great Gatsby — the duo have teamed for another drama, one that puts them up near the Maine-Canada border.
The narrative debut of long-time documentary filmmakers Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly, Beneath the Harvest Sky follows the two as best friends whose relationship strains when one takes up drug smuggling. After premiering at Toronto International Film Festival last year, the film will stop by Tribeca this year before being released soon after.
