We got our first teaser trailer almost two months ago, but look forward to more media from Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg’s The Adventures of Tintin in the coming months as release gears up. The latest image above (from Animatie via The Playlist) gives us a new look at Tintin and Snowy. Many were disappointed at the uncanny valley levels of the first teaser, but I found it to be fitting to the material, and it looks have a large sense of adventure. After all, if you don’t like it, then you can just try again with Spielberg’s War Horse five days later.

The film is based on the Tintin series of graphic novels written and drawn by renowned Belgian cartoonist Georges Prosper Remi better know as Hergé. The action adventure features Jamie Bell as Tintin, who co-stars with CG expert Andy Serkis, as well as Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, who will be playing the two bumbling detectives Thompson and Thompson. Daniel Craig, Cary Elwes, Toby Jones, Mackenzie Crook and Daniel Mays are also in the film, scripted by Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish (who recently directed Attack the Block).
