Deadline brings us news that Leonardo DiCaprio is set to star as J.Edgar Hoover in the upcoming biopic of the FBI Director. His role is confirmed and shooting is expected to start shortly. While the film is still untitled, we do know that Clint Eastwood will be behind the camera with Ron Howard producing.DiCaprio, one of Hollywood’s biggest actors, is going to be working with Eastwood for the first time in his career. The young actor has already worked with James Cameron, Martin Scorsese, Christopher Nolan etc. Eastwood seems like the next logical step.
The script is being penned by Dustin Lance Black (Milk, What’s Wrong With Virginia) and produced by Warner Bros., which has put it on the fast track.
