The first full-length trailer for Steven Soderbergh‘s next film, the male stripper movie Magic Mike, will arrive in tomorrow but we’ve got the first glimpse of footage this morning. It comes from Entertainment Tonight and as they usually like to do, the footage is butchered with sloppy edits and voiceover, but it at least provides our first look at what should surely be an tricky sell. Inspired by Tatum’s real-life experience, the coming-of-age drama also includes an ensemble made up of Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Gabriel Iglesias, Olivia Munn, Riley Keough, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Cody Horn, Adam Rodriguez, Kevin Nash and Betsy Brandt. Synopsis:

Set in the world of male strippers, “Magic Mike” is directed by Steven Soderbergh and stars Channing Tatum (“Dear John,” “Step Up”) in a story inspired by his real life. The film follows Mike (Tatum) as he takes a young dancer called The Kid (Pettyfer) under his wing and schools him in the fine arts of partying, picking up women, and making easy money.

Magic Mike hits theaters on June 29th, 2012, the same day as Tatum’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
