The first theatrical poster for Nicolas Winding Refn‘s Drive has arrived and it takes a cue from its fantastic opening. You’ll notice the 80’s-style pink front, which replicates the opening credit font as Refn passes over a nighttime Los Angeles with this song blasting. It is electric jolt that puts your right in the mood for the fantastic film that is about unveil in front of you.

You’ve seen the great red band trailer for the film starring Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Christina Hendricks, Bryan Cranston, Ron Perlman, and Oscar Isaac, but now you can see this poster below via HeyUGuys. I’ve included another image (as well as some stills), which makes me think they’ll release a set of these. It comes from posters that were handed out at Comic-Con, courtesy of Eric Eisenberg at Cinema Blend, who was lucky enough to get them signed.

Drive hits theaters on September 16th, 2011 after showing at the Toronto International Film Festival. Check out our interview with Gosling and Refn here from Cannes, as well as our review.
