As the superhero craze continues to run rampant through Hollywood, it means studios are not just populating screens with the well-known, family-friendly characters, but are now reaching to the stranger depths of their libraries. Next year we’ll see DC’s darker side with Suicide Squad but first, Fox and Marvel will unleash Deadpool. Led by Ryan Reynolds, the film was brought to life thanks to the response of a leaked pitch reel, but now today brings the first official trailers in both a red and green band form.

With a script by Zombieland duo Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, and direction from newcomer Tim Miller, the trailer, which debuted on Conan, has the witty hijinks one might expect from the anti-hero character, former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson. Also starring Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand, check out the trailers below.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool opens on February 12th, 2016.
