It always seems David Fincher‘s potential projects are always growing. With an almost endless list including Pawn Sacrifice, The Reincarnation of Peter Proud, and Heavy Metal it would seem pointless to add another movie to the “attached” list. So instead, we’ll just post what his next movie will be.

The Playlist has confirmed it. Fincher’s next movie will be an adaptation to the novel The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, a story with an already successful Swedish Trilogy adaptation. Apparently, it will already start shooting in October or September presumably after he does press rounds for The Social Network. The movie is being produced by Scott Rudin and written by Steve Zaillian (Schindler’s List, American Gangster)

The writer seems trustworthy with a healthy filmography under his belt and Fincher is – well – Fincher. So what’s left is who will play the lead. Two names have been thrown. One being George Clooney and the other being Fincher’s most common collaborator Brad Pitt. At this point, he could get anyone he wanted.

Which actor do you think Fincher should work with next?
