Since the release of The Tree of Life, Jessica Chastain has been keeping busy and this year marks perhaps her biggest yet. Not only will the actress take part in the most-promising tentpole of the year, Christopher Nolan‘s Interstellar, but she’ll also be see in one of our most-anticipated independent dramas, J.C. Chandor‘s A Most Violent Year. Along with recently released trailers for both, we have new images featuring the actress that can be seen above and below.

When it comes to the Paramount tentpole, they’ve been pulling out all the stops as one might expect, announcing six different formats the sci-fi adventure will play in, along with a touring Oculus Rift VR experience (details here). While fans are surely pleased, when it comes to the early release of Interstellar in 35mm and 70mm film formats, not all theater owners are happy, particularly the small chains that have already gone all-digital at the behest of the studios.

“This devalues what we’ve done,” Spotlight Theatres CEO Joe Paletta tells THR. “I can’t afford to get the projectors out of the warehouse for two days, and I don’t even have anyone to operate them.” It’s certainly a shifting time for the industry, but if Nolan (and a few other filmmakers, such as Quentin Tarantino for the forthcoming Hateful Eight in 70mm) are pushing for the best presentation possible, we can’t fault them when the majority of their colleagues have dwindling support of film.
