While some screenings may still pop up at Cannes, Abel Ferrara’s latest drama, Welcome to New York, will be heading to VOD in France in 10 days time. Inspired by the actions of former IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn (played by Gérard Depardieu), a new enticing trailer and poster have now dropped ahead of its bow.

First, however, we have news on Depardieu’s next project. Allocine reports that he’s set to star in Abdellatif Kechiche’s Blue is the Warmest Color follow-up The Real Wound. Adapted from a novel by François Bégaudeau (The Class) semi-autobiographical story charts the summer of 1986 for one fifteen-year-old boy in Tunisia who has a goal to lose his virginity. Production kicks off in August, and while there’s no word yet on who Depardieu will play one can see the trailer and poster for his latest below.
