The film is already on its way for a Hollywood remake and its director is attached to make his own blockbuster debut, but Morten Tyldum’s Headhunters has yet to get a proper release stateside. The Norweigian heist film, based on a Jo Nesbo novel, was picked up by Magnolia Pictures, who still have to firm up release plans.

To make matters worse, we’ve got an international trailer today that hints at a slick, engaging thriller. We saw the film at Fantastic Fest and had mixed feelings (thoughts here). While it held our interest, we found it a bit too cliche to fully enjoy. I’m still interested to see it based on all the Hollywood hubbub though. Check out the new trailer below.

Synopsis:

Follows as corporate headhunter who steals valuable artwork from the homes of his applicants. After his latest heist goes awry, the headhunter finds himself in over his head and caught up in a murderous scheme.

Expect Headhunters to arrive sometime later this year.
