From Student Number #2 in Arrested Development to breaking out in this year’s The Social Network, Armie Hammer has quite a career ahead of him. EW is reporting he has found his next project. The actor is in talks to work alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in Clint Eastwood‘s J. Edgar Hoover biopic, now simply title J. Edgar.

With DiCaprio playing Hoover, Hammer would play Clyde Tolson, associate director of the FBI and rumored to be Hoover’s lover. Dustin Lance Black, who won the Oscar for Milk, wrote the script. Ron Howard will be producing. It’s great to see Hammer attached to something like this and I hope Eastwood can finally deliver a great film. It’s been quite awhile.

J. Edgar will film early next year via Warner Bros.

What do you think about this casting? Are you excited to see Hammer snag another solid role?
