My favorite part of the Superbowl has to be the new TV spots for upcoming blockbusters. Indiewire reports that we will see spots for Alice in Wonderland, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, The Wolfman and Robin Hood. Today we have two other major ones. The first is for Martin Scorsese‘s Shutter Island. Check it out below via Firstshowing.

Plot: Nothing at Ashecliffe Hospital is what it seems. And neither is Teddy Daniels. Is he there to find a missing patient? Or has he been sent to look into rumors of Ashecliffe’s radical approach to psychiatry? The closer Teddy and Chuck get to the truth, the more elusive it becomes, and the more they begin to believe that they may never leave Shutter Island. Because someone is trying to drive them insane…

Shutter Island comes out February 19th.

The next spot is for M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, an adaptation of the popular Nickelodeon series. There was also a test screening this week and AICN has two mixed reports for it, which you can check out on their site. Check out the spot below thanks to UGO.

Plot: The film is set in a world where human civilization is divided into four nations: Water, Earth, Air and Fire. The Fire Nation is waging a ruthless, oppressive war against the other three nations. The film’s hero, the reluctant young Aang (Noah Ringer), is the “Last Airbender” — the Avatar who, according to prophecy, has the ability to manipulate all of the elements and bring all the nations together. Aided by a protective teenage Waterbender named Katara (Nicola Peltz) and her bull-headed brother Sokka, Aang proceeds on a perilous journey to restore balance to their war-torn world. Dev Patel plays the Fire Nation’s evil prince Zuko. Exiled from the Fire Nation by his father, Zuko is sent to capture the Avatar in order to restore his honor and right to the throne.

The Last Airbender comes out July 2nd.
