Among all the chaos and craziness that is Comic-Con, IGN had a chance to speak with Underworld creator Len Wiseman about the possibility of his wife and main star Kate Beckinsale returning to the franchise.
Wiseman stated, “yes. That’s the plan. We’re both waiting to see what kind of story comes together. It’s just getting the script to a certain place where we’re both happy with it.”
While Beckinsale starred in the first two films of the franchise, she was absent from the third film which was crafted as a prequel to the other films. Wiseman was also absent from behind the camera, but stayed on board as a producer for the film. The possibility of the two re-uniting on a fourth film could give the franchise the missing gusto that it’s been needing.
