Saint Laurent, the latest film from House of Tolerance director Bertrand Bonello, will premiere at Cannes in just a few days time, on May 17th, and the helmer will already have something to celebrate. After the first images and poster dropped for biopic on the famous fashion designer, word has arrived today that Sony Pictures Classics have picked it up for a U.S. release, something we imagine won’t occur until next year.

Following the life (specifically in the 60’s and 70’s) of the late French fashion icon, played by Gaspard Ulliel, the film is co-written by Thomas Bidegain (Rust & Bone, A Prophet). Also starring Lea Seydoux (Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol, Blue is the Warmest Color) as his muse Loulou de la Falaise and Jeremie Renier (The Kid with a Bike) as the icon’s partner in both business and love, Pierre Berge, we’ve now got a new set of images. Check them out above and below and return for our review.
