Frequently typecast villain Hugo Weaving will be lending his trademark evil grin to the Captain America movie slated to start shooting in early June as the primary villain, Red Skull.
Weaving recently had a role in Joe Johnston’s The Wolf Man and now looks set to reunite with the helmer for Marvel’s upcoming tent pole The First Avenger: Captain America. Red Skull has been Captain America’s archenemy since 1941, when he worked as Hitler’s right-hand man.

Despite the lead role of Captain America still remaining a mystery [remember that whole John Krasinski rumor] the studios seem to be playing it safe by casting Hugo Weaving as the villain. Hopefully, we’ll see some different strokes from Weaving since he definitely has some seriously untapped potential as an actor.
