A picture of John Cusack as Edgar Allan Poe in V for Vendetta director James McTeigue‘s The Raven has surfaced on STYD (via Gawker).
As Poe, Cusack teams up with a detective hunting a serial killer who dispatches his victims in ways which echo the famous Baltimore horror writer’s stories. Cusack was apparently walking around the set (with a very Poe-ish look on his face) when someone snapped the picture.
The Raven is tentatively scheduled for a 2011 release and co-stars Alice Eve and Luke Evans. It was scripted by Ben Livingston and Hannah Shakespeare.
