Since breaking out in Zombieland and especially The Social Network, I’ve been impressed with Jesse Eisenberg‘s career choices. He’s been able to balance low-budget indies like Predisposed and Free Samples, for which we have a trailer today, along with more mainstream dramas and comedies like 30 Minutes or Less or Woody Allen‘s next film.

Premiering at Tribeca Film Festival, Eisenberg co-stars in Jay Gammill‘s Free Samples, a dramedy which sees Teeth star Jess Weixler as the lead. The story looks like your basic quirky indie project, following a lead character who learns about herself thanks to a cast of colorful characters. Thankfully the ensemble is strong with Eisenberg, Jason Ritter, Matt Walsh and more, making it one to seek out at the festival. Check out the trailer and poster below via THR.

Synopsis:

Jillian is having a bad day. She’s got a raging hangover, she’s starting to think dropping out of Stanford Law to become an artist wasn’t the best career move, and things are weird with her faraway fiancé. Can spending the day parked in an ice cream truck doling out samples—and a good dose of sass—to oddball Angelenos shake her out of her quarter-life crisis?

Free Samples premieres at Tribeca Film Festival on April 20th.
