Recently celebrating 29 years in the business of transporting us to new worlds and telling us fascinating stories, Studio Ghibli’s legacy will carry on long past the recent retirement of their co-founder Hayao Miyazaki. Their recent animation The Tale Of The Princess Kaguya, which we reviewed at Cannes, just got set for an October 17th release in the states, and their latest, When Marnie Was There, premiered this month in Japan.

While today brings a new look at the lattermost film, first it’s time to take a look back at the history of Ghibli. Studio Canal have released an official, stunning retrospective trailer of all their gorgeous work and it can be seen below. Following that, we have the full Japanese preview for Hiromasa Yonebayashi‘s Marnie, which is an adaptation of Joan G. Robinson‘s novel, telling a ghost story  of a lonely girl named Annie who meets her first friend. While no U.S. release has been set yet for that feature, we can expect it to arrive next year. Check out both videos below.
