Although, for some of us, it feels like Inherent Vice came out some time ago — blame the NYFF screening in early October and deluge of coverage that’s piled in since then — there are still eleven days to go before Paul Thomas Anderson‘s latest hits theaters. (And a whole 39 for those not in New York or Los Angeles!) If your anticipation is so intense that a bit of quelling is necessary, allow us to help out with more than 90 minutes of video content.

Almost all of this material is promotional in some sense of the word, but, much like the beautiful banner poster that’s featured right above, it extends far past the typical dirge of TV spots and quick junket sound bites. First up is a pair of DP/30 interviews with Vice‘s MVPs, Katherine Waterston and Josh Brolin (in which he reveals there’s a lot left on the cutting room floor), followed by two additional chats with the latter — one of which is, I think, nicely off-the-cuff by nature of having the actor sit by a computer.

Before that, enjoy one of Anderson’s first efforts: Drivers, The Unsung Heroes of Hollywood, in which a very young, more-than-a-little-annoying production assistant walks us through the set of Sworn to Vengeance (then known as Secret Vows), a low-budget film only now known for giving the man behind There Will Be Blood one of his first jobs.
