Considering the careful roll-out of information and media for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we figured the arrival of the second trailer would be the last new peek for some time, but with May the 4th celebrating the world of the franchise, today brings another look at J.J. Abrams‘ sci-fi- universe. While visiting the set, acclaimed photographer Annie Leibovitz captured some of what she saw, which features our first official look at Adam Driver (who was seen masked in the trailers) and Lupita Nyong’o, as well as confirmed character details for both.

First up, above one can see the villainous Kylo Ren as played by Driver, while below finds the first photo of Nyong’o as a pirate named Maz Kanata, a fully CGI character she is motion-capturing. When it comes to Harrison Ford‘s return as Han Solo, Abrams says, “I knew that he had done in some movies a kind of more growly thing, and I didn’t want Han to be growly. There was a fire in his eyes that you see in the movie.” Also featuring new looks of much of the rest of the cast, including Oscar Isaac and Daisy Ridley, check everything out below thanks to Vanity Fair.

Update: See the first image of Gwendoline Christie as First Order officer Captain Phasma below.
