The FP was one of my favorite movies at SXSW and one of the craziest things I’ve seen in forever (let my review do the talking for me). Before its last midnight showing at the festival last night, the Trost Brothers sent Harry Knowles the full-length trailer to show off on Aint It Cool News. And now I bring it before you, the Film Stage reader. Just a warning: it’s extremely NFSW and extremely awesome. You may recognize one Trost brother, Brandon, as the cinematographers on Crank: High Voltage. Check out the madness below.

Just for a quick recap of the plot, The FP is about the near future, when turf wars are decided not by violence, but by the rhythm game Beat Beat Revelation. Throw in some clever spoofs of sports/action films of the 80’s coupled with hilariously anachronistic dialogue and an off the wall style, and you’ve got something wholly unique and crazy. I implore you to see this once it comes out, but make sure you have a group of friends with you; this is tailor made for a rowdy and possibly inebriated crowd.

What do you think of the trailer?
