Consider my surprise walking through Grand Central Station a few weeks ago, stumbling upon the large set for Arthur. With the film supposedly coming out in April, I was surprised to see it still shooting. Turns out it was just some reshoots to tighten up the film, after a few strong test screenings.

The Sun and Yahoo now have our first look at Jason Winer‘s remake of the 1981 Dudley Moore classic. I recently watched the original a few days ago and Russell Brand is absolutely perfect casting to replace the late actor. While keeping the same plot, almost all the jokes in the trailer are different from the original. The comedy also stars Jennifer Garner, Greta Gerwig, Helen Mirren, and Nick Nolte. Check out the first trailer below.

Synopsis: Irresponsible charmer Arthur Bach has always relied on two things to get by: his limitless fortune and the good sense of lifelong nanny Hobson to keep him out of trouble. Now he faces his biggest challenge — choosing between an arranged marriage that will ensure his lavish lifestyle or an uncertain future with the one thing money can’t buy, Naomi, the only woman he has ever loved. With Naomi’s inspiration and some unconventional help from Hobson, Arthur will take the most expensive risk of his life and finally learn what it means to become a man.

Warner Bros. plans to release the film on April 8th, 2011.
