The Words just got a whole lot hotter. After grabbing one of the most sought after male actors with Bradley Cooper, Olivia Wilde has just signed on to the thriller, to be directed/written by Tron: Legacy scribes Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal. The Black List script “follows a successful writer who discovers he has to pay a price for stealing another man’s work.” [Variety]

Joining Wilde is Ben Barnes, John Hannah, J.K. Simmons, and Nora Arnezeder. They are added to the cast that already includes Jeremy Irons, Zoe Saldana and Dennis Quaid. It’s unfortunate to hear Wilde and Cooper won’t be in any scenes together, but her character is vital to the plot in some sort of manner.

The House star has been on the fast-track to stardom after appearing in Tron: Legacy. She will also appear in the drama/comedy Butter, as well as Jon Favreau‘s massive blockbuster Cowboys & Aliens, co-written by Alex Kurtzman, whose directorial debut Welcome to People, she also stars in. Later this year she can be seen in Andrew Niccol‘s sci-fi film Now (with Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried), and David Dobkin‘s comedy The Change-Up (with Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman). I think she has some true talent, but I’m hesitant to see another film from the Tron: Legacy scribes, considering how poorly crafted the story in that blockbuster was.

What do you think about the cast for The Words?
