Update: The teaser is here and WRONG will premiere at Sundance 2012!
It’s certainly a good sign when your “first look” at a film includes an actor you had no idea was in it. After his delightfully wacky debut, Rubber, director Quentin Dupieux (also known as the electronic artist Mr. Oizo) just finished the first week of photography on his sophomore feature, Wrong.
If you’ve been following the director on Twitter (which I highly suggest), he has been updating with tidbits and photos. Aside from debuting the first still, which can be seen above (via Twitch), he even announced his next project. Keeping with the one-word titles, he will direct a film in his own country of France titled REALiTY, in france.
Back to Wrong, in the still above you can see Steve Little, best known as the eager Stevie Janowski in Eastbound & Down. Little also starred in The Catechism Cataclysm, which I saw, highly enjoyed, and reviewed at Sundance. As for Wrong, all we know is that “it revolves around a man and his missing dog.” William Fichtner, a perfect fit the director’s sensibilities, also stars and we can get a look at Jack Plotnick below, as well as the director (middle) in some of his posted Twitter photos from the set.
Rubber is now on VOD and in theaters. Expect to see Wrong in 2012, a Cannes premiere like his last perhaps?
What do you think of the first still? Were you a fan of Rubber?
