After being an integral part of last year’s New York Film Festival and stopping by Cannes this year to head up the Critics’ Week jury we were hoping Andrea Arnold was simply buying time while developing her next feature and it looks like that’s the case. Following the gorgeous Wuthering Heights, we now have news on her next project.

Variety reports she’ll be shooting in the United States for the first time for American Honey, a road movie that follows “a runaway teenager selling magazine subscriptions around the U.S., who gets caught up in a whirlwind of hard-partying, law-bending and young love.” Shooting this summer, Arnold also scripted the feature. With three stellar films under her belt, we can’t to see the results and in the meantime, one can check her debut, Oscar-winning short Wasp below.

Expect a 2015 festival premiere for American Honey.

Are you looking forward to Arnold’s next feature?
