With Kick-Ass already raking in green overseas, many are speculating on what the film’s helmer, Matthew Vaughn, will take on next. There have been rumors of interest in adapting Bloodshot, the now-defunct Valiant comic “about a reanimated government assassin killing machine named Angelo.”[Latino Review].

Add one more to the soon-to-be pile of potential projects: Jonathan Ross’ recently published Turf:

“Set in 1920s prohibition-era New York, it’s a high-velocity romp involving gangsters, vampires and aliens; issue one went on sale this week and is already on its second print run, the first 20,000 copies having sold out on pre-orders alone.” [The Guardian]

Apparently the comic sets mobsters vs. vampires inside the hard-boiled detective genre [First Showing]. It certainly sounds like something the visually and tonally visceral Vaughn (Layer Cake, Stardust) would dig taking on.

There’s been no confirmation to either of these reports, other than the presence of actual possibility. Stay tuned for more concrete information.

What do you think of Matthew Vaughn? Which of these projects would you like to see him take on?
