Hobo With A Shotgun started as a fan-made trailer director Jason Eisener made for a contest to promote the release of Grindhouse in Canada. That trailer, about a homeless man who becomes a shotgun wielding vigilante in a crime-infested city, was so well-received, it was picked up and recast with Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner) as the hobo.

Previous trailers have been so full of over-the-top, troma-style gore, it’s hard to imagine a red band trailer could be any more vulgar. It turns out adding a few F bombs to the mix makes all the difference in the world. See for yourself below and check out our very positive SXSW review here.

Hobo With A Shotgun will be available On Demand starting tomorrow, April 1st, before making its way to select theaters on May 6th.

Can Hobo With A Shotgun make it as a feature-length movie, or does the premise get old by the end of the trailer?
