It’s not often we get sequels in the world of documentaries, but when the original film won the Palme d’Or and is (by far) the highest-grossing documentary of all-time, the case has been made. Michael Moore, following his 2004 documentary Fahrenheit 9/11, is returning with Fahrenheit 11/9. Set to premiere at TIFF in just a few weeks, then quickly hit theaters, the film follows the documentary filmmaker question what is going on in America in the wake of Trump, and what led us to this dismal point in politics and basic moral fiber.

Ahead of the release, the first trailer has now arrived which finds Moore interviewing some familiar faces and doing his familiar set of theatrics. Promising to be a little less absurdist than Sacha Baron Cohen’s current show and a necessary antidote to the likes of Dinesh D’Souza, the preview sells a entertaining expose of our frightening times.

Michael Moore’s “Fahrenheit 11/9” is a provocative and comedic look at the times in which we live. It will explore the two most important questions of the Trump Era: How the f**k did we get here, and how the f**k do we get out? It’s the film to see before it’s too late.

Fahrenheit 11/9 opens on September 21.
