There’s only a handful of actors whose name only will pique our interest in a film and Bill Murray is certainly one of them. He’ll be seen amongst George Clooney‘s stellar Monuments Mens ensemble later this fall, but today brings new of another major project he’s become attached to.

According to The Wrap, Murray is in talks to board Cameron Crowe’s currently shooting project, which already has brought aboard Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, Alec BaldwinDanny McBride and Jay Baruchel. While Murray’s role is under wraps, the story follows a military contractor (Cooper) asked to launch a military satellite over Hawaii — a task requiring him to work alongside a liaison (Stone) tasked with obtaining approval from the island’s spiritual leaders. One can expect Sony to release the project later next year.

Moving over to a project of major indifference, Universal and Focus Features have hit a snag in bringing Fifty Shades of Grey to the screen. While Dakota Johnson is still locked into the lead female role of Anastasia Steele, Charlie Hunnam has dropped the male lead of Christian Grey. In an official statement, they say, “The filmmakers of Fifty Shades Of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey.” While it’s suspect that the wouldn’t have figured this out before, perhaps Hunnam got cold feet, but we expect another lead to come in soon, ahead of a release next August.

What do you think of Crowe’s ensemble? Who should replace Hunnam?
