It seems like everywhere you turn there’s more news on the upcoming X-Men: First Class. Recently, we got news from /Film that Michael Fassbender is very close to signing on to play a young Magneto and that Benjamin Walker is officially set to star as Beast.Walker, while relatively unknown, has won small roles in acclaimed films like Kinsey and Flags of Our Fathers, so he’s got a lot to prove here. Fassbender, on the other hand, has already earned himself a solid rep with scene-stealing turns in everything from Fish Tank to Inglorious Basterds.
The casting rumors/news surrounding the film have been abundant and in no time I’m sure we’ll see a full cast list confirmed. I have high hopes for the film and I think this re-imagining of the classic series could go over really well.
