Aside from a debut teaser, things have been relatively quiet for the upcoming drama 42, which tells the story of American baseball legend, Jackie Robinson. Directed by Brian Helgeland, Warner Bros. has now released some new stills and a featurette for the film, gearing up for the spring release, showing off more footage and introducing just how important this story is.

For those unfamiliar with the baseball legend, Jackie Robinson, portrayed here by Chadwick Boseman, was one of the most influential Americans in history, breaking the color barrier in baseball as the first African-American to play in the Major Leagues and changing the game forever. Harrison Ford stars as famed baseball innovator Branch Rickey, the man who went against the grain and signed Robinson to the Brooklyn Dodgers back in 1947 and one can see him below in this new featurette, along with Jackie’s wife Rachel Robinson and another baseball legend, Hank Aaron.

42 opens on April 12th.
