Nominations for the 68th annual British Academy Film Awards arrived early this morning and in welcome news, the proceedings were topped by Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel which picked up 11 nods. Not far beyond was Birdman and perhaps 2014’s biggest Oscar bait, The Theory of Everything, with ten each. The Imitation Game racked up ten, while Boyhood and Whiplash grabbed five. Disappointingly, two of last year’s best films, Inherent Vice and Selma, were nowhere to be found, but then again, that’s the way these things usually go. Check out the full list below ahead of a ceremony on February 8th.
