If you didn’t discover the past enough in Paranormal Activity 2, the upcoming third iteration will head back even further, set in the 1980s, with Katie in her youth. I thought the last film was a huge misfire, but hopefully Catfish directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman can bring something new to the series.
Paranormal Activity 2 writer Christopher B. Landon returns with Insidious producers Oren Peli and Jason Blum. Check out the poster below, which goes the safe route of providing a familiar experience for the film hitting theaters October 21st. One can also see the previously released teaser here.
We also have the first poster for Sam Levinson‘s Another Happy Day. I didn’t check it out at the fest, but heard some pretty poor things, although Barry Levinson‘s son picked up the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award there. Ellen Barkin leads the film as a “high-strung mother struggling to communicate with the rest of her eccentric family.”
The cast also includes Kate Bosworth, Ellen Burstyn, Thomas Haden Church, George Kennedy, Ezra Miller, Demi Moore and Diana Scarwid. Check it out below via THR for the film hitting theaters in November. If the film doesn’t featuring a falling man in a water tube and/or giant Cheerio, I’ll feel cheated.
Which film are you most looking forward to?
