Here courtesy of Yahoo!, are 6 new photos from Kevin Macdonald’s (State of Play) upcoming sword-and-sandal epic concerning a young Roman soldier (presumably Channing Tatum) and his quest to find a golden emblem to honor his father’s death.
Featuring everything from an old Donald Sutherland (who would appear to be Tatum’s father) to a bruised Jamie Bell to Gladiator-like battle stills, this film is a curious one. Tatum showed acting chops in Fighting earlier this year and star power in surprise hits like Step Up, but this is a whole other level, and one where many have failed and few have succeeded. Failures include Orlando Bloom (Kingdom of Heaven), Colin Farrell (Alexander) and even Brad Pitt (Troy).
Can Tatum step up (get it?) and become the movie star everyone seems ready to accept him as?
