MGM may not be doing so well these days, but the studio has hired Saw (four out of the seven) writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan to write an feature adaptation of The Outer Limits. The original ABC sci-fi series aired from 1963-65. [Variety]

They paid the duo mid-six figures to have their draft in by October. They are also known for their work on Feast and The Collector.

For those that haven’t seen the original show, think Twilight Zone with harder sci-fi. You can watch all 49 episodes on Hulu. The series was also revived in 1995 on Showtime and Sci-Fi channel. Those episodes are also available on Hulu.
