Anjelica Huston and Philip Baker Hall have joined the cast of Summit/Mandate’s now untitled comedy that was formerly known as I’m With Cancer.
Starring Seth Rogen, James McAvoy, Anna Kendrick and Bryce Dallas Howard the film is due to start shooting later this month in Vancouver.
According to Variety, the film will be directed by Jonathan Levine and from a script by Will Reiser. The project is being produced by Rogen, Evan Goldberg and former “Daily Show” exec producer Ben Karlin. Reiser is exec producing along with Mandate Pictures president Nathan Kahane.
McAvoy portrays a man who learns he has cancer and successfully battles the disease over several years. His character is based on the real life experiences of screenwriter Reiser, who fought and won his own battle with cancer in his mid-20s.
