Not a bad turnaround. Last October, we reported that The Other Guys star Will Ferrell had signed unto the independently financed drama, Everything Must Go. It marked the directorial debut for commercial director Dan Rush. Then, in March of this year we reported Rebecca Hall (Vicky Cristina Barcelona, The Prestige) will be joining the project.

Now, with just about a month away until Toronto International Film Festival 2010, it was announced the film is just about finished and will premiere there. It was written by Rush from a Raymond Carver short story and placed high on the 2008 Black List. Ferrell plays “a guy who loses his job and gets locked out of the house by his wife. She deposits his belongings on the front lawn, and he spends the next four days trying to sell his possessions.” Laura Dern (Jurassic Park) and Michael Pena (Observe and Report, Crash) also star.

We also have the first look (to the side) of Ferrell thanks to IM Global, the film company. Toronto International Film Festival starts Sept. 9th.

Are you ready for Ferrell to try something different?
