According to /Film, Universal has hired screenwriter Josh Zetumer to help pen a new Jason Bourne film. This comes just two weeks after it was reported that a new Bourne film wasn’t happening for a while when Matt Damon talked to Entertainment Weekly last week and stated that there is “no story and we don’t have a script.”
As I stated before, I hope this project stays in development hell. I don’t want a fourth Bourne at all. It really is just a bad idea for everyone involved. The original trilogy is a masterpiece and should be held high in the company of Star Wars and The Lord of The Rings. Why taint that legacy with a potentially reputation killing fourth film?
Would a new Bourne film be too great of a risk?
