With news that MGM isn’t doing so well, many of their projects seem to be in a uncertain state. Add James Bond‘s 23rd outing to that category. Peter Morgan has written the “shocking story“, but it looks like he will have to hold on to that for a little longer. Total Film recently interviewed producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli and they had this to say:

Our timeline’s a little up in the air what with the situation at MGM, so we have to be flexible. We just don’t know enough about the situation to comment, but we know it’s uncertain.

After rocking the film world with Casino Royale, then delivering a crushing blow of disappointment with Quantum of Solace I’m not that upset that we have to wait a little longer for the next installment. With production to begin as early as the end of 2010, don’t expect this one any time soon.

Are you upset about the delay? What do you want to see in the new Bond?
