“Believe it or not, I have this mantra before I start a movie where I want to treat every film I’m making as though it were my last. Meaning, it doesn’t matter what the genre, what the movie, I want to give 100%. I want to give it my all and try to get close to whatever vision I have in my head for the part,” Nicolas Cage told us earlier this year. While it certainly won’t be his last, perhaps one of his most peculiar career choices will be arriving this fall.

With direction from stuntman Vic Armstrong, Cage is leading a remake of Left Behind alongside Ashley Tisdale and Chad Michael Murray, playing a group of people who survive the Rapture. Adapted from the hit books by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins, with Cage at the center here’s hoping it leans towards more crazy Noah territory than the standard religious films we’ve seen as of late.
