The highest-grossing domestic film of 2014 (although making most of its money this year), American Sniper might have cemented Bradley Cooper as a bankable star, but if you were going by his last two releases, it wouldn’t be apparent. Following the failure of Aloha and Serena, the actor will get another chance to prove himself this fall as Burnt (formerly known as Adam Jones) makes its way to theaters.

The John Wells-directed drama follows  a Paris chef who destroys his wunderkind status in a blaze of decadence and out of control behavior. He cleans up and returns to Paris sober, determined to redeem himself by spearheading a top restaurant that can gain three Michelin stars. The first trailer has now landed ahead of a fall release and it looks like the awards bait version of Jon Favreau‘s surprisingly enjoyable Chef.

Also starring Sienna Miller, Omar Sy, Daniel Brühl, Matthew Rhys, Uma Thurman and Emma Thompson, check out the trailer and poorly Photoshopped poster below.

Chef Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) had it all – and lost it. A two-star Michelin rockstar with the bad habits to match, the former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene did everything different every time out, and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive Michelin star though, he’ll need the best of the best on his side, including the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller). BURNT is a remarkably funny and emotional story about the love of food, the love between two people, and the power of second chances.
