Despite working consistently for the last two decades, Amanda Plummer is perhaps best known as Honey Bunny in Quentin Tarantino‘s masterpiece Pulp Fiction. The Fisher King star is now about to get some major exposure, as she’s been cast in Francis Lawrence‘s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Plummer takes the part of Wiress, which the press release describes as having the nickname “Nuts” due to her eccentricity. And although she “doesn’t communicate traditionally, her observations and contributions prove invaluable in the Quarter” (aka the 75th Hunger Games ceremony). It looks like Lionsgate is serious about opting for strong talent rather than top celebrities, which is more I can say about most major blockbusters.

She’ll join newcomers Philip Seymour Hoffman and Jena Malone, as well as the rest of the returning gang including Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Lenny Kravitz and Toby Jones in the follow-up to this year’s box office stunner.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theaters on November 22, 2013.
