Screen Rant brings us some very exciting news today. The new villain in Marc Webb‘s upcoming reboot could possibly be the Lizard. It is interesting we get this news only a few days after the Michael Fassbender story broke. Perhaps this is the role that Fassbender is looking at?
The upcoming reboot has been leaking details all over the place. In the past few weeks we have heard so much about this project that some official statements are bound to be made by the studios sooner or later.
While I hated Spider-Man 3, the first two were great and I generally do like Spidey and the franchise that surrounds it. Although the Lizard wouldn’t be my choice for a villain (why not Jackal, Chameleon or Rhino?) I’m sure he will be entertaining to watch. And who knows, there is probably going to be more than one villain in the film if they continue with the trend.
Spider-Man 3D starts production this summer for a July 2012 release.
