While most Sundance’s most acclaimed films have arrive throughout the year thus far, as fall kicks off next month it will bring one of the strongest. As we said in our review from Park City, Blue Caprice is a taut character study of the two men behind the 2002 D.C. Sniper shootings, as writer-director Alexandre Moors does an effective job of offering insight into the minds behind such senseless killings.
Featuring two fantastic performances from Isaiah Washington and Tequan Richmond, playing the infamous criminals Allen Muhammad and Lee Malvo (respectively), the film strives to capture an uncomfortable mood. The first harrowing trailer has landed, along with a poster (with a needless tagline), so check both out below for the film we said was “a fascinating and haunting portrait that will leave you conflicted regarding the meaning behind a meaningless crime.”
