With Christopher Nolan‘s Batman trilogy concluding this past summer, WB has handed their superhero torch over to their 300, Watchmen and Sucker Punch director Zack Snyder for a new Superman film. After two teasers which gave us no indication other than a portion of the style, we’ve now got a full-length trailer for Man of Steel.
While the first half is still in line with the previous ethereal teasers, the second half is packed with new footage. We get a brief glimpse at our villain, many explosions, an intriguing oncoming storm and much, much more. WB is selling this one as the event of the summer and they are making a strong case here. Check it out below for the film starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni and Russell Crowe.
Synopsis:
Next summer, “Man of Steel” is coming to the big screen. The film is from director Zack Snyder and producers Charles Roven, Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas and Deborah Snyder. The screenplay was written by David S. Goyer from a story by Goyer & Nolan, based upon Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster and published by DC Comics.
Man of Steel lands on June 14th, 2013.
