Chris Evans is experimenting with a number of different genres this year. Most audiences will see him in Captain America: The First Avenger this summer. He also has the indie drama Puncture, which we reviewed at its Tribeca Film Festival premiere. This fall, he enters romantic comedy territory with What’s Your Number? Directed by Mark Mylod (Ali G Indahouse), the film stars Anna Faris and a range of talented comedic actors including Andy Samberg, Thomas Lennon, Joel McHale, Dave Annable, Ari Graynor, Ed Begley Jr., Chris Pratt, Mike Vogel and Zachary Quinto.
The trailer has appeared on YouTube, which gives us a first look at the film. Aside from the annoying narration, this actually looks quite promising. The supporting cast is fantastic, most notably some of my favorite comedians including Pratt from Parks & Recreation, McHale from Community, and Lennon from Reno 911!. Evans has always had a funny side, so it will be nice to see him take the lead here for this R-rated rom-com. Check it out below.
