Today a possible set photo appeared (on the JoBlo forums) from Christopher Nolan‘s upcoming final chapter in his Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises. The user claimed his “good mate who is working on set at Cardington” sent him the picture. It turns out it most likely is from Batman Begins, Joblo’s editor-in-chief updates. This makes sense, considering how tightly Nolan’s keeps his sets locked down.
Another update comes from the usually useless, but ever-flowing torrent of Nolan-related information, Sir Michael Caine. Talking with E! Online the actor gave a hint about the script and some vapid information regarding the rest of the cast. Check it out below.
“I talked to Chris last week ’cause I said I hadn’t gotten a script and he said, ‘I haven’t finished it.’ And he said, ‘I’ll finish it in two weeks.'”
“Marion Cotillard is in it? Nobody tells me these things! Oh shoot. I didn’t know. Well, Anne Hathaway is Catwoman isn’t she? Well that’s fabulous. Tom Hardy is gonna be great too [as Batman nemesis Bane]. He’s a tough British actor.”
The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine (if he gets the script), as well as newcomers Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, and Tom Hardy. It will hit IMAX theaters July 2012.
