Five days ago we reported that Ryan Reynolds led the pack which included Tom Hardy, James McAvoy, Zac Efron, Sam Worthington and Shia LaBeouf to join Denzel Washington in the drama Safe House.
Deadline now confirms he has made room in his busy schedule to do the pic. He will play “the young CIA agent who must transport a dangerous criminal (Washington) to safety after both are attacked at a safe house.” Daniel Espinosa, who directed the foreign Snabba Cash (which is rumored to get remade in the US) is helming the project.
Ryan Reynolds has Buried being released next and he just wrapped on Martin Campbell‘s The Green Lantern. In October he works on The Change-Up, directed by David Dobkin. Safe House will shoot next, early in 2011. He will then decide on either the Deadpool spin-off or R.I.P.D. Then if Green Lantern succeeds, there are two sequels planned.
Are you excited for Denzel and Reynolds to be working together?
