They only got a glimpse of each other in The Next Three Days, but Olivia Wilde is set to have more time with her co-star Elizabeth Banks in Welcome to People. The Dreamworks’ film marks the directorial debut from Star Trek and Transformers co-writer Alex Kurtzman.

THR reports that Wilde has joined the cast, which also has Chris Pine as our lead. The House star has been on the fast-track to stardom after appearing in Tron: Legacy. She will also appear in the Sundance 2011 film Butter, as well as Jon Favreau‘s massive blockbuster Cowboys & Aliens, which Kurtzman also co-wrote. Later this year she can be seen in Andrew Niccol‘s sci-fi film Now (with Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried), and David Dobkin‘s comedy The Change-Up (with Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman).

The family drama follow “a businessman (Pine) who returns home after his estranged father’s death and discovers that he has an alcoholic sister (Banks) with a 12-year-old son. Wilde will play Hannah, the Pine character’s girlfriend.”

Production stars this month in Los Angeles.
